Interview with W. C. Orr, Jr. concerning his experiences as a banker and Chairman of the Board for the First State Bank of Denton. Orr discusses his family background, his education, his father's role in founding the First State Bank of Denton, as well as his work with various federal agencies and his early experiences in banking. In addition, he talks about his term as President of the Texas Bankers Association, the Depression, the evolution of banking practices and laws, his views on local ownership of banks versus holding company banks, and his bank investment policies.
